Star Wars: The Mandalorian Brings In 15 Emmy Nominations

The Emmy Academy has spoken.

Following its debut and first successful season, the Disney+ streaming series, The Mandalorian has received 15 Emmy nominations, including sound editing, sound mixing, special visual effects, and stunt coordination, as well as, a voice over nomination for Taika Waititi as IG-11, and "guest actor in a drama" nomination for Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon.

The Disney+ streaming series has added to its 2020 Emmy award total with a win for Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Drama Series, Limited Series or Movie. Of the original 15 nominations, The Mandalorian has brought in 7 Emmy's, including a win for Series composer Ludwig Goransson. The Mandalorian is now tied with HBO's The Watchmen ith 7 wins each.The second season of the Disney+ streaming series begins on October 30th.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Composer Ludwig Goransson Wins Emmy Award For Music Composition

 

The Disney+ streaming series The Mandalorian adds another 2020 Emmy win to its tally. with composer Ludwig Goranson's win for Music Composition. This is the sixth win for the series, which debuted last year.Göransson recalls his first meeting with series creator Jon Favreau; Jon comes up to me and starts telling me about the show, about his inspiration about samurai movies and Westernsand I was just kind of astounded, and really inspired. I think from the very start of our conversations, I got to understand that it was going to be a really fun experience.Season 2 of The Mandalorian premieres October 30th.(Source: Deadline)

Star Trek: Picard is also nominated in several of these categories.  I hope The Mandalorian beats it.
