Nice looking figure

ResidentCriticCollector - 2008-06-03 @ 8:36 pm
looks cool but i am getting bored of that same wolf sculpt, over and over again. it seems like hasbro is running neca now @loll@ i even have problems with those predators because they are always falling. i have a real problem to make them stand. i stand them up and everytime after a week or so they fall.

Those Predator figs continue to fall down? That sucks. Yeah, the re-paint thing that most companies do, you know, just to make more money off of us suckers. But, the Stealth Camo Predator Re-paint does look amazing. Besides, it comes with two Aliens as accessories. That's gotta count for something... right? lmao

i am all in for the two aliens but the way neca goes, i can bet that we will see them again in other packs. it will make 5 predators who actualy look the same. this looks weird on the shelf. well at least my predators dont stand for long. i dont know if others have the same problems. there arent so many guys around here who post anymore

Shokker, do you mean the Predator figures look weird on your shelf? What POA (points of articulation) does the NECA Predator figure have? I held out on getting those, since I've had issues with their Resident Evil line.

they will look weird when i have 5 predators who look alike. they could change the sculpt a bit. they are great looking compared to the mcfarlane figs. i try to get the articulations right

-head. seems to be ball joint

-knees. are like the dcsc articulations

-hands. they can turn around 360

-elbows. none, the articulations are a bit higher then the elbows and they turn 360. i hate those articulations.

-feet. they can turn 360 too but not up and down.

the figure is great but if they had added the alien articulations then i gues the predator could have topped everything.

what where your issues with resident evil?

Well... many things. First off the (likeness) sculpts of the main (human) characters. I think I've mentioned this before in another post, NECA's Jill Valentine does not look like her game counterpart. And Chris Redfield's arms look like he's been going through a steroid rage. Also the lack of articulation just ruins the overall figure. I mean Palisades (which unfortunately, no longer exists) had the great idea of creating highly-detailed RE figures with many points of articulation that allowed many poses. NECA's version just pales in comparison. The minimal POAs just kill the RE line for me. I've seen NECA's other action figures, and they're given way more articulation and better sculpts than the RE line. I wonder why that is. It's just an opinion, mind you.

yeah thats true. but look at chris in resident evil 5. he looks like ahnuld @loll@ i love the palisades resi figs. but i love the neca resi figs a bit more because they are more like statues then figures. true true that i would prefer more articulatios. i think neca will see that when they put more articulations in it that the figs sell more. look at the turtles. i know a lot of guys who arent even big fans of the turtles, who actualy have them. what i hate about the neca resi figs is that there are no news of anything new and no great monsters are around. just human sized monsters. they made great figs but nothing special. they could add some bafs in it to create somthing big.

I do recall someone saying that Randy Falk (?) axed the idea of BAFS, due to costs. BAFS are a great idea. It worked with the DC Series 1 figures. I mean if it does increase the costs b/c of extra plastic used and b/c of extra articulation, I'd willingly pay the money for it, (and probably) so would other RE collectors. But apparently the Resident Evil line isn't a huge cash-cow as the other series. Sad to see that. I would definitely love to see an upgraded Chris Redfield action figure from the upcoming Resident Evil 5. Another problem I forgot to mention about the NECA's RE figures is also the lack of accessories.
