Toy Fair 2010 Video - A Look At Hasbro's Return Of The Star Wars Vintage Figure Line

Jay Cochran - February 23, 2010

Check out our latest Toy Fair video feature that looks at the new Vintage Collection coming from Hasbro for 2010.

And just to re-cap for those who are video impaired, these figures will be on reproduction vintage cardbacks, similar to the VOTC line, including figures not produced during the vintage line, like Snowspeeder pilot Dak Ralter.

The first wave will have a new Bespin Luke with a lightsaber hilt that attaches to his belt, Hoth Leia with removeable vest, Bounty Hunter Dengar, 4-Lom, C-3PO with removeable chest pieces, Twin Pod Cloud Car Pilot, General Veers With removeable armor, Dack Ratler, Darth Vader and Han Solo (Echo Base Outfit).

This new vintage collection is expected to last for two years and there will be a Bespin Han Solo released sometime in 2011. These will no longer have the Clam Collector cases like the original Vintage Collection figures but they will still come with the throwback to Kenner cardbacks including the old "Butterfly" peg holes on the cards.

The SRP will be $7.99 on these and there will also be waves of figures from the new trilogy included in this line. Wave 2 will include figures from Episode III.

We can also expect to see some vehicles get the Vintage packaging treatment this year. At least 3 vehicles will have variant packaging exclusives released that look like the old Kenner ones. Hasbro is keeping mum on two of the three vehicles for now but did say the new AT-AT was one of them and the Vintage Variant Packaging one would be released as a Toys R' Us exclusive.

There is also going to be a special Vintage Firing Rocket Boba Fett figure offered with these. Click Here for more details on that.

Check out hi-res images for the first wave of figures below in our IMAGE GALLERY.
