Ewan McGregor Up For Reprising Obi-Wan Role For Episode VII
Jay Cochran - December 30, 2012
Actor Ewan McGregor who played the role of Obi-Wan Kenobi in the pre-qual Star Wars movies Episodes I-III recently admitted in an interview with Total Film magazine that he would be up for reprising his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in the upcoming new Star Wars movies if the need ever arisen. ‘I’d be up for it,’ he said. ‘If they need me to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, I’d be happy to do it. Who knows what the story would be?’ he added. ‘I’m up for it anyway. I will don the cloak again.’
‘I can only imagine I would be a hologram type person because Alec Guinness can’t do it now,’
Sir Alec Guinness who passed away in 2000 was the original actor to take on the Obi-Wan role in Episodes IV-VI.

What a great Macguffin clones are! Between that and time travel, sci-fi has an "out" for any story imaginable, anything can be undone. Regardless of whether or not it should be. |

I guess they'll be interviewing everybody w/ a chance of being included in the new movies? If they had to, I could see Ewan as an hologram in the jedi archives or something; but, as much as I liked him as young Obi-Wan, I dread the reaction to a dubbed Alec Guiness |

well they could use computer graphics to use Alec Guiness's image and just have Ewan do the voice |

I think Ewan did a great job as a young Ob-wan mainly in AOTC and ROTS As for TPM not so much. Him playing Obi-wan in this new trilogy. Well, they can't resurrect Alec Guinnes. |

the guy that laughed out loud when told the title to Episode II wants to do more? he must be hurting for money...or wanting the possibility of being in a good Star Wars movie. |
